1798-1870 Auguste Sébastien Philippe Bernardel Doublebass

The instrument is atributted to Auguste Sébastien Philippe Bernardel, “Bernardel Père”. Originally 3-string bass. Very nice example in excellent conditions of one of the best French makers of his period. His basses are very fine, good outline, well cut soundholes and the body being well proportioned. Varnish is dark Brown with a good lustre.
